Composition :

Vancomycin 500 mg, Powder for solution for infusion
Each vial contains 500 mg of vancomycin (as vancomycin hydrochloride).

Pharmaceutical Dosage Form:

Powder for solution for I.V infusion.

Indications:

Intravenous administration

Vancomycin is indicated in all age groups for the treatment of the following infections:

• complicated skin and soft tissue infections (cSSTI)
• bone and joint infections
• community acquired pneumonia (CAP)
• hospital acquired pneumonia (HAP), including ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP)
• infective endocarditis

Vancomycin is also indicated in all age groups for the perioperative antibacterial prophylaxis in patients that are at high risk of developing bacterial endocarditis when undergoing major surgical procedures.

Package and Storage:

Carton box contains one colorless glass vials and insert leaflet
Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
After Reconstitution with 10 ml water for injection, store at 25°C for 48 hours or at (2-8°C) for 96 hours
After dilution with (at least 100 ml ) 0.9% NaCl solution and 5% glucose solution store at 25°C for 48 hours or at (2-8°C) for 96 hours
